A New Year – New Beginnings – A New Offer for You

HAPPY NEW YEAR

SPECIAL NEW YEAR OFFER FOR YOU

2019 GOALS

Word of the Year:    THRIVE

The Webster Dictionary defines thrive – progress toward or realize a goal despite of or because of circumstances. This is my 2019 goal. Overcoming obstacles and thriving. In 2019 I will reverse the negative reality of my year-end circumstances and work toward positivity with additional goals and launches.

With that being said, below is my first offer of 2019. I teach the art of Zentangle. It is an amazing form of art that allows you to focus, relax and easy to learn. In addition, there are many more amazing classes that one can take at the comfort of their own home and your convenience. How FABULOUS is that??

TRANSFORMATION

Photography credit – Robyn Graham Photography

Caterpillars are transformable — they turn into beautiful butterflies. This is mother nature’s beauty.

I am reminded of many years ago when I was a caterpillar; shy, introverted and inexperienced of life’s unexpected challenges. I was just a caterpillar waiting for my transformation. I didn’t know at that time that I would change into a magnificent butterfly.

On September 8, 1979 I changed into a butterfly after my twin boys were born prematurely. I was a strong and wise butterfly allowing me to accept adversity allowing me to soar.

My Zentangle Classes on Skillshare

I am a certified Zentangle teacher and I have three classes published on Skillshare.com. It is a great platform filled with a variety of classes you can take online. I highly recommend checking out this site and especially my classes.

I am offering my first class free until the end of this year. This class will teach you the basics. The other two classes are beginners and beginners/intermediate. After you complete the free class, I believe you will want to continue because it is addictive in a good way. By investing in yourself you will become a happier person giving you the ability to face your life’s challenges. I will be adding more classes in the near future.

Because I am a skilled art practitioner, I create a nonjudgmental environment encouraging my students to not think about the end result, just enjoy the process. In the Zentangle community we do not believe in mistakes, only happy beginnings; this is why we do not use erasers.

I encourage you to check out the site. If you are finding yourself feeling anxious from the volatile political climate we are living through, creating Zentangles will take you away from your internal fears and anxieties, into a world of peace with creating tangles with lines and circles that will amaze what YOU ACCOMPLISHED. YES YOU!

art, Heal your heart with art

Would you like to learn Zentangle art?

I was certified to teach Zentangle art in April, 2017. I found this amazing art form advertised in a magazine and fell in love. I love forming lines, dots, and circles to create a tangle on a small tile and adding other tangles to complete the design.

It is a very relaxed form of art where you can easily get lost in your own world, forming tangles, one after another. It is especially therapeutic for clearing your mind of stress.

While I was caring for my son for many years, advocating for his needs, I often would calm myself by crafting. It helped me survive very stressful years.

After my son died and I retired, I began building a business promoting how to heal your heart with art. I earned my certification as an art practitioner and now help others to find their way out of a stressful life by teaching Zentangle art.

Below is a site where I teach Zentangles online on Skillshare. It is a wonderful site promoting many variety of courses. You can access some courses free but with a premium membership, you will have access to all their courses that are pretty amazing.

I invite you to check out my classroom. My first class is free. If you enjoy the class, you may want to consider paying for a premium membership. You can access premium membership from my classroom.

I AM BACK

Yes my friends I am back and I missed all of you.  Since January, 2018 this blog was down and I had a new blog on my website.  I tried to connect this original blog to my site and had no success.  I wasn’t happy.

I am not yet making the revenue I expected in my business.  I recently decided to simplify my life and shut down my website to refresh myself and come back to my roots where I feel at home.

Let me catch you up on my life since January.  I am now a certified Zentangle teacher and also certified as an art practitioner.  I’m teaching Zentangles on Skillshare.com (The Wonderful World of Zentangles) and locally at two township buildings.  I am applying to teach art at senior and mentally challenged residential facilities

I am also beginning to organize an e-course to teach art and how art can heal your heart.  I have a part time job as well.

Again, I am happy to be home where I belong.  I will be posting as often as I can and you know I will be sharing my thoughts on many topics, there is so much going on in this very volatile world we live in, I will not be without stories to help inspire and spread hope.

Hugs,

Jude

FACEBOOK LIVE SERIES

This week I began Chapter one of my weekly FB Live series. I will be sharing details of my life with my son Jason. Jason was born in 1979 as a twin, two months premature. He developed a brain hemorrhage one week after birth which left him with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. The FB Live series will continue weekly on Thursdays at 2:00 pm EST.

This weeks video is posted here. I would be ever grateful if you would share my video so that it can reach those who need to hear my story. I lived through many years of fear and frustrations of the unknown. If I can reach parents today who are caring for a special needs child, just maybe I will provide some clarity along with my years of wisdom and experience.

LOOKING BEYOND

What does looking beyond mean to you? Would it mean you are looking beyond your fears of creating a business, are you looking beyond a longtime personal relationship that ended, or are you looking beyond a life full of challenges and trying to overcome and improve your expectations and create a happier life?

All of the above are really good reasons why one would want to look beyond. For me, looking beyond a lifetime of fears and extreme life challenging moments of despair and decisions would accurately describe looking beyond them and most importantly, moving forward. Moving forward is the key phrase to emphasize after one looks beyond.

I am in the midst of looking forward. I am looking beyond the many challenging years and focusing on me. I was a caregiver for many years and now it is my turn to shine.

For the past seven years I made many changes; moving beyond anger and letting go of deep mourning from the loss of my son who died on December 22, 2006 at the age of 28. He lived his entire life with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy.

I teach and create art. Art has been a part of my life for years giving me an outlet to depend upon when I needed mental support. It got me through very tough years. I am the art healer, sharing and teaching how one can heal your heart with art. It is my way of looking beyond.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

My blog has moved. I now have a website and it is connected to the site. If you want to continue following me (I hope you will☺️), please go to http://www.scrapperjudedesigns.com.
The menu at the top of my site will help you find my blog. On the right side you will find a button asking if you want to receive an email. Again, dear friends. I hope all of you will continue to follow me.

With the business taken care of, I hope you all are enjoying your 4th of July celebrations. I created art all day and really had fun and I’m very relaxed. Had a very busy weekend so today was well accepted.

In our country we are so blessed to continue to celebrate our freedom. I am praying we continue the freedom we should never take for granted.

Happy 4th!!!

I DIDN’T HEAR THEIR CRIES

I DIDN’T HEAR THEIR CRIES

I hoped and prayed to give birth to a baby
with labor pains and precise breathing, this was my dream.
What happened was science intervention
an emergency C-section, no pain or quick breathing;
I find this to be very sad.

They were lifted out of my being, one at a time
and handed off to the waiting teams to care for their needs.
I laid their on the bed listening to the words being spoken,
praying I would hear the sounds, I was so anxiously hoping.

I laid in silence waiting to be moved
and asked my doctor, “how are my boys?”
In a very compassionate tone he responded, “they are in good hands.”
But doctor, “how could that be, I didn’t hear their cries.”
He looked at me with very sad eyes
and said, “dear we are fighting very hard to save their lives.”

I wrote this poem one day when I was feeling sorry for myself. I try not. I try not to dwell on the past but there are times I am reminded, hearing a song or watching a movie related to my sorrows.

It is okay to remember the bad times as long as they are tucked back into your heart and soul where they will be safe.

Much hugs,
Jude
